Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist Job Description

Job Overview:

As a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist, you will provide critical support to cardiologists and cardiac surgeons in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist during complex diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures
  • Operate sophisticated electronic instruments and calculate hemodynamic data
  • Maintain established policies and procedures, quality assurance programs, and safety standards
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new employees and students
  • Demonstrate expertise in complex clinical skills, including IABP, stents, DCA, PTCA's, ablations, and pacemakers
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months experience in an invasive cardiac catheterization laboratory
  • Current registration as a CCI Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRTRT(R) with a VI or CI category designation
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
