Lead the Way in Packaging Excellence

We're seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Packaging Team Leader at Asahi Beverages. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our packaging processes.

 

About You

  • You will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to your team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • You will have experience in managing process and product quality, with a strong understanding of GMP/HACCP and GFSI compliance standards.
  • You will possess excellent stakeholder engagement skills and be able to influence others, particularly in a unionized and fast-paced environment.
  • You will be a self-starter who is able to drive and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • You will have a solid communication skillset, which will aid you when resolving conflict, leading your team, and building relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide input into and promote health, safety, environment (HSE) and quality standards, as required and ensure all teamwork complies with relevant HSE standards.
  2. Manage process and product quality (packaging).
  3. Ensure and maintain GMP/HACCP and GFSI compliance standards.
  4. Support the implementation of all VPO Quality Pillar activities.
  5. Support a healthy industrial relations climate, while facilitating a high-performance team through guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
  6. Coordinate maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring maximised plant availability and KPI achievement.
  7. Coordinate/support packaging maintenance team in planned and breakdown maintenance activities.
  8. Coordinate the application of call-out and escalation procedures when break downs (including utilities) occur after hours.
  9. Coordinate and support new product development, overhauls, and project manage programs of work.

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
