Senior Laboratory Technician Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality construction materials testing and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and perform a range of geotechnical and construction materials tests with precision and accuracy.
  • Maintain and improve our quality systems to meet ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and proficiency programs to ensure excellence in our field.
  • Liaise with field and project teams to ensure timely sample handling and reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture in all work practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience as a NATA-authorised signatory in CMT or geotechnical testing.
  • A Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian standards and Queensland TMR test methods.
  • Experience supervising teams or mentoring junior staff in a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid Driver's Licence, Construction Induction Card (White Card), and PDMG Licence are desirable.
