Role Summary

The Laboratory Technician role involves laboratory tasks such as preparation and analysis of soil, water, and sediment samples. These tasks include weighing, digesting, titrating, or solvent extraction of samples.

Laboratory Technicians are required to conduct these tasks in accordance with Quality Work Instructions. They must also ensure that all tasks are completed within the set timeframe and relevant analysis standard.

  • Sample preparation and analytical procedures must be conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work Instructions
  • Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies is essential for success
  • Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviour is crucial for maintaining high-quality outcomes

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and analysis of soil, water, and sediment samples including weighing, digesting, titrating, or solvent extraction
  • Conducting tasks in accordance with Quality Work Instructions
  • Ensuring tasks are completed within set timeframe and analysis standard

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the science industry. They will require either TAFE or University qualifications and a desire to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environment.
