Chemist Role Overview

This position involves performing high-quality testing of products, raw materials, and incoming goods to ensure they meet specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Quality control using analytical and physical testing techniques to verify product quality.
  • Inspection and release of goods in accordance with approved specifications within a 48-hour timeframe.
  • Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Investigation of non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Update of laboratory documentation and reports.
  • Dispatch of products in compliance with relevant regulations.

Closely collaborate with the quality team and other departments to ensure timely product releases and adherence to dispatch deadlines.

Shift work and overtime may be required. Predominantly, hours are eight (8) hours between 6 am – 4 pm Monday - Friday, and occasionally on a Saturday between 6 am - 12 pm. When shiftwork is required, you will be available to work between 2 pm – 10 pm Monday to Friday.

This role requires a strong understanding of analytical and physical testing techniques, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
