About the Role:

The Cavenagh is a renowned hospitality venue in the Northern Territory, celebrated for its exceptional food, vibrant atmosphere, and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences. We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Manager to join our leadership team and help us maintain our position as a premium hospitality destination in Darwin.

This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire a team to deliver genuine and authentic guest experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with the Venue Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the venue, maintaining high service standards and creating a welcoming environment for staff and guests.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a high-volume or premium venue. They will be confident in managing day-to-day operations, knowledgeable about compliance and licensing requirements, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for hospitality, a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences, and a desire to be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about delivering exceptional results.

  • Motivate and inspire the team to deliver a genuine and 'local' guest experience.
  • Champion team coaching and mentoring, Guest and Team initiatives, and day-to-day pub operations.
  • Proactively activate local events and support the Venue Manager to develop and drive marketing initiatives.
  • Build a responsible service culture that is centered around fun, passion, and authenticity, encouraging the team and guests to come as they are.

Requirements:
  • You have great hospitality leadership and operational experience with positivity and enthusiasm to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have contagious passion when it comes to the guest experience and to inspire, coach, and develop your team.
  • You hold current industry RSA and RSG qualifications as per state requirements.
  • NT Gaming License.
