Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health
Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to
providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services
and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli
Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.

ABOUT THE
ROLE

The Team Leader Early Steps Together, under
the direction of the Project Lead, will be responsible for managing the daily
operations of the Linkage and Outreach program. This will include managing
program priorities to meet the needs of clients, monitor workflows and staffing
resources to meet program outcomes including fostering participation pathways,
partnerships, and collaboration with key stakeholders, and referring agencies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the
    early intervention Early Steps Together program, ensuring alignment with DDHS
    policies, legislative requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Establish program goals and metrics in
    collaboration with community and stakeholders, ensuring cultural
    appropriateness.
  • Develop and implement culturally
    appropriate outreach strategies to engage families early, ensuring the program
    remains flexible to community needs and priorities.
  • Be accountable for delivering early
    intervention services to prevent escalation, ensuring client service delivery
    meets operational and community needs as outlined in operational guides.
  • Regularly update the Project Lead on
    progress and emerging issues within the program. Where a crisis is identified follow
    organisational and legislative policy and procedure.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Experience
    in service delivery environments for Families.
  • Relevant experience in similar field - FDV
  • Well-developed knowledge of, and contemporary experience in,
    working with clients with families and relevant management strategies.
  • Knowledge of the social determinants of health (environment,
    economic and social inequalities) that have a profound impact on the health and
    well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Demonstrated ability to use culturally sensitive ways to ensure
    improved client access to DDHS and/or other health services.
  • Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the
    ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and
    service providers.
  • High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability
    to deal with challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client
    information systems or similar.

Desirable

  • Experience working for an ACCO/ACCHO
  • Qualifications in a relevant field connected to children and
    families.
