Regional Service Leader

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to oversee the performance of operations and contract delivery across multiple services in the defined geography. This role involves managing up to 3 direct reports and a team of up to 35 staff, providing operational and strategic direction for service contracts, ensuring they are delivered within funding guidelines and meet compliance and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Community Services or a related field, equivalent experience, and a minimum of 3-5 years' management experience in the community services or not-for-profit sector. They should also possess extensive experience in people management, coaching, and developing frontline leaders through periods of change.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and build strong collaborative relationships. A proactive, action-oriented, and solution-focused leadership style is essential, along with a commitment to Mission Australia's values.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the performance of operations and contract delivery across multiple services in the defined geography.
- Manage up to 3 direct reports and a team of up to 35 staff.
- Provide operational and strategic direction for service contracts.
- Oversee the development, preparation, and monitoring of operational budgets.
- Support the Regional Leader and State Director in contract negotiations.
- Drive workforce planning, recruitment, retention, succession planning, and the professional development of frontline managers and service teams.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with local/state government, funding bodies, and community organisations.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' management experience in the community services or not-for-profit sector.
- Extensive experience in people management, coaching, and developing frontline leaders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive, action-oriented, and solution-focused leadership style.
