Job Opportunity

This role is a key leadership position within the Capital Works and Infrastructure. The District Engineering service oversees engineering operations, onsite activities, maintenance, and projects, workforce planning, compliance, WHSE, asset management, redevelopment interfaces, reporting, and services.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of district engineering and maintenance services and project works.
  • Facility and asset management, utilities, reporting, compliance, contract management, minor works projects, and redevelopment interface.
  • Engineering onsite activities, maintenance, workforce management, projects, compliance, WHSE, asset management, active redevelopments, district services, and emergency response management.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Facility Management or extensive experience.
  • Strong organisational skills, multitasking, meeting deadlines, prioritising, demonstrated initiative, and high-volume environment adaptability.
  • Knowledge of Building Codes, Australian Standards, and codes of practice.
  • Experience in engineering, maintenance, and project/asset management, personnel/resource management, budget/financial management, coordinating multi-disciplinary groups and external providers across facilities.
  • Proficiency with computer-based systems (e.g., BEIMS, AFM Online, Oracle, Health Roster, HPRM, MS Office).
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders and teams; articulate schedules, risks, and opportunities clearly.
  • Electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and building services trade background and relevant qualifications in Facility Management.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license required.
