Job Overview

The role of Senior Social Worker in Child Protection involves ensuring the needs of vulnerable children, young people, and their families are identified, safeguarded, and monitored according to relevant legislation.

  • Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children, young people, and their families.
  • Conduct timely assessments in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Engage relevant agencies, children, and families in assessments and planning.
  • Manage complex caseloads, ensuring high-quality casework.
  • Mentor less experienced Social Workers and co-work cases.
  • Develop care plans reflecting the views and wishes of children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate case records and produce required reports.
  • Regularly review and update plans to meet diverse family needs.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
