About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the assessment process in a Public Transport Authority environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and mentor Field Assessors to develop their capability through hands-on training, inductions, and ongoing support.
  • Manage the induction process for new Field Assessors, maintain competency records, and coordinate internal development programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build understanding of competency frameworks and processes across the organization; facilitate validation sessions and assist with framework updates and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Competency Manager to implement change strategies, communicate plans, and ensure new processes are consistently applied throughout the organization.
  • Conduct research and analysis, contribute to policy improvements, and support the team with documentation and other duties as needed.
About You:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong understanding of governance processes, effective assessment principles, and competency frameworks.
  • Proven experience in supporting and implementing change management in complex environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of RTO Standards, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), the Training Accreditation Council (TAC), and best practice VET compliance.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, project management, research, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, mentor staff, and communicate effectively through written and verbal formats.
  • Proficient in using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant workplace systems.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to complete within 12 months); a diploma or higher qualification in adult education is desirable.
