About the Role:
The Commercial Division is embarking on a major transformation program with the goal of becoming the leading bank for small to medium Australian businesses. The program involves 25+ initiatives across various aspects, including propositions, platforms, policies, processes, partnerships, and people.
Job Description:
The Transformation Delivery Manager role sits within the Commercial Strategy & Transformation Management team. This individual will support the Transformation Delivery Lead in maintaining and operating clear and robust initiative structures and processes. The primary objective is to facilitate effective oversight, decision-making, and drive delivery of complex interrelated initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in uplifting and embedding portfolio management processes, templates, and principles to drive consistency and quality in delivery.
- Enabling central oversight of portfolio delivery in collaboration with the Strategy & Transformation Investment and Change streams.
- Monitoring and reporting on portfolio delivery performance, including data collation for Delivery Governance forums and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Maintaining divisional delivery roadmaps and managing dependencies between initiatives and key delivery partners.
- Providing proactive targeted support to help resolve challenges or conflicts impacting delivery health.
- Supporting initiatives through all stages of the IMDO checkpoint funding lifecycle, from establishing new submissions to initiative closure.
Requirements:
For success in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Solid experience in delivering initiatives, portfolio management, or other complex operations.
- Understanding and demonstrated experience in initiative governance principles, methods, processes, and techniques.
- Knowledge of project management principles, project finance processes, risk, and project management quality standards.
- Working knowledge and experience of various project methodologies and systems, such as Agile and ANZ Delivery Framework.
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management skills, ability to partner and influence across the organization.
- Ability to simplify and adapt complex content for senior decision-making.
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of initiative data efficiently and present quality insights to drive fact-based decision-making.
