Job Description\

As a Field Engineer, you will provide technical services and solutions to support the operations delivery group in Tasmania's Transmission and Distribution electrical networks.

\
  • Provide technical field support to the Operations Delivery group
  • Work on projects related to technical field support, continuous improvement, operational risk management, and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with Asset Management, Network Operations, and Project Management business units to coordinate and implement initiatives and projects that impact Operations Delivery
  • Identify and lead the implementation of technical improvements relating to safety, efficiency, and execution capability
\Required Skills and Qualifications\

You will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential), with sound knowledge of power system engineering principles and extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of high voltage plant and equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical work and mentor/supervise developing engineers
  • Experience in driving the implementation of engineering processes and technical work practices
  • Ability to interpret and practically apply legislation, standards, and industry guidelines in an operational environment
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work across multiple stakeholder groups
