About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment and work with a talented team of chefs. To succeed in this role, you must be meticulous, organized, and passionate about cooking quality dishes. Previous experience in a restaurant or café service is essential.
About You
We are looking for a creative and experienced chef who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You will have a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, with impeccable grooming, presentation, and communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate our core values of Trust & Integrity, Respect & Diversity, Exceptional Experiences, Continuous Improvement & Community.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook all meals in accordance with food and service standards.
- Perform food preparation tasks and check quality/presentation of orders to ensure food is cooked consistently and properly.
- Plan work on orders so that items served together are finished at the same time.
- Ensure the kitchen is kept to a high standard by providing a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation and delivery of meals.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for staff and patrons.
Essential Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Relevant qualifications.
- A sound knowledge of food safety.
- Experience working with and implementing HACCP procedures.
- Excellent level of cooking ability.
- Ability to work under pressure.
