Fill Medications with Accuracy and Efficiency
Job Description:- Pull/pick medications from shelving and other storage areas to prepare prescriptions.
- Verify the accuracy of prepared medication prior to presentation to a pharmacist.
- Efficiently fill daily drug orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Process returned drugs, recycle/dispose as per procedure, and assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications.
- Manually package materials and products.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications must be obtained as per state regulations and practice location.
- Previous pharmacy experience is essential (long-term care experience is preferred).
Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working varied shifts.
