Pharmacy Technician Role

This position is pivotal in guaranteeing precise prescription preparation and dispensing to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pull/pick medications from shelving and other storage areas accurately and efficiently
  • Carefully verify final preparations before presenting to pharmacists
  • Fulfill daily medication orders precisely and speedily
  • Support the processing of returned drugs, recycling/disposal according to procedure
  • Aid in pre-packaging frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-traffic periods
  • Package materials manually with attention to detail
Essential Qualifications:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • State-mandated pharmacy technician licenses/certifications are necessary
  • Previous experience in pharmacies is essential (long-term care experience preferred)
Work Setting:

This role involves working in a 24-hour pharmacy environment with occasional extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
