About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Private Bank Markets team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving growth in the Private Bank Markets business in Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and growing the markets needs of ANZ's Private Bank customers, while also looking to grow market share and develop new business and product opportunities.

You will work closely with our Financial Institutions, Markets sales team to achieve its strategic priorities, including growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and sales experience across Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Risk Management Financial Markets products, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

They will also have the ability to analyse, understand and respond to client needs through active use of data, and adapt their approach based on previous experience, mistakes and developmental feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve business targets for Private Bank Markets sales across products including Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Money Markets and Commodities
  • Identify growth opportunities and new growth streams
  • Help our ANZ Private Bankers support their clients in managing their financial markets risks across the range of financial markets products
  • Source new business opportunities and develop new product capabilities
  • Actively utilise and promote data to analyse Private Bank client segments to identify exposures and offer solutions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to improve the customer and employee experience
  • Ensure limit management and compliance with all internal and external requirements
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders, including other product areas and relationship
  • Ensure adherence with Markets dealing and distribution mandates, suitability frameworks, governance and conduct policies, processes and standards

  • Proven ability to identify customer opportunities, build relationships and provide effective solutions
