Youth Justice Caseworker Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that provides front-line services to young people at a Youth Justice Centre or Community Office. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplined team that aims to reduce re-offending of young people, enhance their functioning, and support reintegration into their families and the community.

The caseworker will work closely with young people, their families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement case plans that address the needs and risks associated with each individual.

Key responsibilities include undertaking case management activities, working collaboratively with government agencies and non-government stakeholders, providing clear and concise advice and reports, and using structured screening and assessment tools to identify the risks and needs of young people.

The caseworker will also maintain accurate records and data integrity of relevant information systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date client information is available to support effective case management, planning, decision making, and quality assurance.

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education, or related field.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Clearance.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
