Job Opportunity: Platform Analyst

 

The role of a Platform Analyst plays a pivotal part in supporting the growth of Macquarie Asset Management by collaborating with our Public Investments Technology team within the Corporate Operations Group.

Our team manages the BlackRock Aladdin platform that supports the entire investment process, including trading, order management, compliance, and middle and back-office functions, while also developing and maintaining data integration pipelines.

This position will contribute to maximising our platform capabilities by working closely with vendors, product managers, users, and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and prioritising day-to-day requests related to our investment management platform called Aladdin.
  • Closely collaborating with functional leads to understand their requirements, researching and analysing master configurations.
  • Owning the permission models that ultimately support the optimisation of investment management workflows through the platform.
  • Handling change requests to address gaps in platform data and functionalities, while facilitating vendor and internal discussions to drive the delivery of requirements.
  • Supporting project activities to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Previous support experience in financial services working on Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM, Charles River IMS, Dimension, Factset or related technologies.
  • Prior experience or training as a system analyst and/or business analyst.
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Practical knowledge on PowerBI or advanced use of Office 365 for workflows and data analysis.
  • Good understanding of the buy-side trade lifecycle is highly valuable.
