Science Education Leader

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Teacher to lead our science curriculum.

  • Curriculum leadership: Develop and implement high-quality science curricula that align with the school's vision.
  • Teaching and learning: Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students from Stage 4 to Stage 6.
  • Leadership development: Build the capacity of colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Key Requirements:
  • A personal belief in the school's Statement of Faith.
  • An active involvement in local church community.
  • Proven educational leadership skills.
  • Exemplary teaching skills and sound curriculum knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to pedagogical advancement.
  • Administrative skills with flexibility and adaptability.
Selection Criteria:
  • Affirm a personal belief in the school's Statement of Faith;
  • Have an active involvement within their local church;
  • Provide evidence of educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams;
  • Display a high standard of competency, proficiency and innovation within the classroom, empowering students to creatively express themselves;
  • Provide evidence of exemplary teaching skills together with sound curriculum knowledge from Stage 4 to Stage 6;
  • Be an effective and reflective practitioner who displays strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Be committed to pedagogical advancement in their classroom;
  • Demonstrate strong administrative skills, with high flexibility and adaptability; and
  • Have a good understanding of Explicit Instruction (advantageous).
