The Role

Eaton CC is seeking a Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) teacher to join our supportive and passionate teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated teacher to work in a collegial environment where collaboration, reflection, and evidence-based practice are highly valued.

The successful applicant should deliver engaging lessons across the Western Australian Curriculum (Years 7 to 10), with opportunities to teach Senior Secondary courses, including Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and General pathways. We seek a teacher who inspires students with a passion for the Humanities and exhibits strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management. The successful applicant would differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs and build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider community. A growth mindset, collaborative approach, and commitment to continual improvement are highly desirable.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Eaton Community College in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 500 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
