Event Operations Technician
Casual role | Flexible hours including weekdays, evenings, and weekendsWe are seeking individuals to join our Building Services team on a casual basis. The role involves overseeing essential technical services and general facility operations during events. Key responsibilities include addressing plumbing concerns, adjusting climate controls, troubleshooting lift issues, investigating gas leaks, and ensuring the security of items pending repair.
As an Operations Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and safety of our venue; this requires technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and effective prioritization of tasks. You will work collaboratively with various teams to promptly address maintenance requirements and contribute to a secure environment.
Our facility operates around the clock, with shifts often scheduled during early mornings, late nights, and weekends, particularly during peak event seasons. You will be assigned shifts based on the needs of events across our venue.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support and resolution for technical challenges faced by staff or visitors, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, technical challenges, and their resolutions. Respond swiftly to technical emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Conduct routine inspections to identify and rectify maintenance issues and potential risks. Ensure adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.Preferred Skills & Experience:
Strong communication skills for conveying technical information and excellent problem-solving abilities. Organizational skills for managing tasks and inventory, with a keen eye for detail in documentation and procedures. Adaptability to shifting priorities, ability to handle emergencies, and willingness to work varied hours. Team collaboration and contribution to a positive work environment, with proven experience in facility maintenance. Proficiency in maintenance tools and equipment, along with a solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices. Competence in utilizing technology for maintaining electronic records. First Aid certification is advantageous. About Us
