Job Description

As a leader in wellbeing and injury management, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of effective prevention, claims management, and injury management processes that support business objectives.

This role involves:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team to ensure development of their skills and high levels of customer focus in support of stores and the organization.
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategies that minimize operational impact, reduce costs, and continually improve health and safety results.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives, targets, and timeframes for implementation.
  • Providing practical training and coaching to leaders in support of improved knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing for their teams and the greater organization.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives or strategies to ensure best practices are in place.
  • Ensuring the Injury Management System is maintained with accurate and relevant information and is effectively used by both the Wellbeing and Injury Management, Safety, and HR teams.
  • Contributing to the coordination and compilation of safety reporting and presentations, including board reports, quarterly strategy tracking, and retail leadership meetings in collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Facilitating the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members, ensuring lost time, claim durations, and claim costs are minimized.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with external stakeholders, such as insurers and OR providers, to ensure claims management strategies are implemented, delivering exceptional customer service, and achieving cost-effective outcomes.
