Job Description

We are seeking a Power Transmission Expert to lead our team in shaping a greener future. This role involves providing technical expertise on transmission networks, including grid connections and leading technical due diligence for developers, investors, and owners of renewable energy, storage, and power network infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity to take your expertise in renewable energy to the next level and contribute to creating a safe and sustainable world.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on transmission planning studies, including steady-state and dynamic stability studies.
  • Lead generation and business development with private sector customers in the renewable and storage industry and with power utilities in Australia; grow the business as a seller-doer in Australia.
  • Carry out transmission-level concept design and oversee transmission planning studies.
  • Apply knowledge of Australian and global power networks and power systems, regulation, and electricity markets to project work.
  • Lead teams and manage complex projects; review and implement technical regulations including grid codes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University or master's degree in energy economics / economic regulation, electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar.
  • Significant experience in lead generation and business development with strong relationships across private sector customers in renewable and storage and with power utilities in Australia.
  • Experience reviewing and implementing technical regulations including grid codes.
  • Excellent understanding of Australian and global power networks, power systems, power sector regulation, and electricity markets.
  • Solid experience in leading teams and managing complex projects.
