We are looking for an experienced Power Sector expert to join our Clean Power team. As part of our team, you\'ll have the opportunity to make a profound impact, driving the transition towards a cleaner and greener world.
You will be a seller-doer playing a key and leading role in growing our business in Australia with a focus on technical due diligence for developers, investors, and owners of renewable energy, storage, and power network infrastructure.
In projects, your role will be to provide technical expertise with a focus on transmission networks including grid connections.
Responsibilities
Provide technical due diligence for developers, investors, and owners of renewable energy, storage, and power network infrastructure.
Lead growth initiatives in Australia as a seller-doer.
Provide technical expertise with a focus on transmission networks including grid connections in projects.
Carry out and oversee transmission planning studies, including steady-state and dynamic stability studies.
Contribute to Australian and global power networks knowledge, power sector regulation, and electricity markets.
Lead teams and manage complex projects.
Qualifications
Must have
University and master's degree in energy economics / economic regulation, electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar.
Significant experience in lead generation and business development, with a strong track record establishing lasting relationships with private sector customers in the renewable and storage industry and with power utilities in Australia.
Significant experience working for private sector customers in the renewable and storage industry and with power utilities in Australia.
Specific experience carrying out and overseeing transmission planning studies, including steady-state and dynamic stability studies.
Excellent understanding of Australian and global power networks and power systems, power sector regulation, electricity markets.
Solid experience in successfully leading teams and managing complex projects.
Excellent written communication skills
Native or professional-level competence in English
Desirable
Experience using DigSilent, PSS/E, and/or Powerworld or equivalent.
Experience with transmission-level concept design.
Experience reviewing and implementing technical regulations including grid codes.
Experience with power market design studies.
International experience in power sector consultancy – demonstrable experience in North America, Europe, Africa or Latin America is an asset
Relevant experience using Helioscope, PV/Syst, Homer Pro and/or PLEXOS.
