**Optimize Vessel Performance**

We are seeking a skilled professional to optimize cargo stowage and vessel utilization. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring safety and cost-efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating schedules for vessels, monitoring operations across ports, and addressing disruptions. You'll manage the handling of special cargo, minimize risks, and ensure compliance with regulations, while striving for continuous operational improvements and cost savings.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Plan and coordinate cost-effective cargo stowage and utilisation of vessels to ensure all safety requirements are met
  • Plan and issue schedules of vessels engaged in designated trades in order to optimise asset utilisation
  • Coordinate and provide technical and cost assistance in the carriage of hazardous, break bulk, over dimensional and awkward cargo
  • Pursue operational efficiency and cost saving through continuous improvement

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualifications in nautical studies or an equivalent level of seagoing Certificate of Competency
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in the Operational aspects of the shipping industry
  • Practical experience in the terminal/shipboard operational aspect of the shipping industry
