About the Role

The position involves optimizing cargo stowage and vessel utilization, ensuring safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating cost-effective cargo stowage and vessel utilization to meet all safety requirements.
  • Issuing schedules of vessels engaged in designated trades to optimize asset utilization.
  • Providing technical and cost assistance in the carriage of hazardous, break bulk, over dimensional, and awkward cargo.

This includes pursuing operational efficiency and cost saving through continuous improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in nautical studies or an equivalent level of seagoing Certificate of Competency.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in the operational aspects of the shipping industry.
  • Practical experience in terminal/shipboard operational aspects of the shipping industry.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
