Environmental Delivery Manager

Job Description:

The Environmental Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, reliable, and cost-effective transmission network.

This role involves leading a team responsible for integrating approval conditions into project contracts and ensuring contractors adhere to environmental obligations.

  • Lead a cross-functional team to embed environmental requirements into project delivery.
  • Oversee assurance, compliance monitoring, and investigations throughout project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Approvals team to ensure smooth transitions of approvals into the delivery phase.
  • Establish and refine environmental processes and systems to support delivery teams.
  • Engage with contractors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure environmental performance expectations are clearly understood and achieved.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need strong knowledge of environmental legislation, experience embedding environmental management into construction and operations, and the ability to collaborate effectively across project delivery teams.

  • Degree-level qualifications in environmental science or an equivalent field.
  • Formal internal audit qualifications (e.g. ISO45001/ISO14001/ISO9001).
