The Role
We are looking for environmental graduates who have a passion for soil science, are curious and enthusiastic about land management. Our early career professionals are empowered to drive their own careers and take on leadership positions within the company. You will be a self-starter with the initiative to deliver high quality work.
This role will be part of our graduate program with training and support provided to give you opportunities to grow in the contaminated land industry. You will work with Project Managers to deliver a variety of projects (e.g. contaminated land investigations; soil, groundwater, surface water and vapour sampling; waste analysis and classifications). You will learn out in the field as well as back in the office, by analysing and interpreting the environmental information and data you collect, and by writing reports. The role will provide you with technical development day-to-day while also offering the opportunity to be part of a structured learning program.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to environmental investigation and remediation projects.
- Undertaking field work across Australia – soil, groundwater, vapour sampling and monitoring, site observations.
- Collecting, analysing and interpreting environmental data and information.
- Writing environmental reports.
- Liaising with project managers.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in an environmental or related discipline, e.g. geology, agricultural science, soil science, hydrogeology, environmental science.
- Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience working in an environmental role, will be highly regarded.
- Experience working in the contaminated land sector is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with the Queensland contaminated land legislation is also advantageous, but you'll learn.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Excellent report writing ability.
- Australian driver's licence.
- Australian residency.
