Human Resources Manager

This leadership role oversees the HR & Business Services function and plays a pivotal part in delivering operational excellence, safety, and innovation across all projects.

The Human Resources Manager leads and develops a high-performing HR, Recruitment and Admin team. Delivering strategic and operational HR outcomes across head office and active projects is essential for this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing HR, Recruitment and Admin team
  • Deliver HR strategies aligned to business growth and operational objectives
  • Manage workforce planning, reporting, analytics and monthly executive reporting
  • Oversee HRIS and payroll system implementation
  • Drive end-to-end recruitment, retention and engagement initiatives
  • Manage performance and grievance matters with professionalism and care
  • Provide IR advice, lead policy development and maintain compliance with Fair Work
  • Build leadership capability across the business through coaching and development
  • Drive a people-first culture while managing risk and supporting business resilience

To be successful in the role, you will possess :

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HR leadership role, ideally in contractor mining, construction or heavy industry
  • Proven ability to lead through growth, change and complexity
  • Deep knowledge of Modern Awards, Fair Work Act and best-practice ER / IR
  • Strong systems knowledge including HRIS and payroll systems
  • Confidence working with data, analytics and executive-level reporting
  • A WA driver's licence and willingness to travel to site periodically
