THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team on a 12-month Parental Leave contract as a Human Resources Business Partner. This role supports a workforce of over 200 employees and provides both strategic and operational HR support across the business.
Duties include but not limited to;
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on workforce planning, performance, engagement, and change management.
- Lead and manage complex employee relations matters and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, including senior appointments.
- Drive retention strategies and support talent development initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance HR systems, records, and policies in line with best practice and legal requirements.
- Provide guidance on performance management and support managers with reviews and coaching.
- Act as the main point of contact for legal counsel on employment matters. Support investigations, risk assessments, and compliance in relation to Fair Work, WHS, and other employment legislation.
- Lead and mentor the HR Team, building strong working relationships across the business with external stakeholders.
- Other duties as requested by the Business Support Manager.
THE PERSON
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years' HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior advisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act, NES, and Industry Awards.
- Proven experience partnering with leadership teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities with professionalism and confidentiality.
