Job Role: Placement Coordinator

The Placement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the student experience by coordinating and supporting professional placements. This position ensures seamless delivery of placement programs across designated disciplines, fostering collaboration with academic leads and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the allocation and management of student placements in consultation with the Professional Experience Office and academic staff.
  • Maintain accurate student records in the placement database, adhering to health and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to manage placement provision and academic supervision allocation.
  • Foster effective relationships with industry partners and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, staff, and stakeholders on policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in coordinating student placements within an educational setting, including working collaboratively with academic staff and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation governing student placements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail and data integrity.
