About the Role

Au002 Marsh Pty Ltd_AU is seeking an experienced and dynamic broker to join our Corporate and Commercial team in Adelaide. As a Principal Broker, you will be a senior member of the team responsible for the retention, growth, and profitability of a portfolio of key mid-market accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high-quality customer service is provided to all clients at all times.
  • Contribute towards the Company's profit objectives through effective management and attainment of revenue and expense budgets.
  • Lead, plan, and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal process and results meet client expectations.
  • Develop additional business from existing portfolio.
  • Work with leadership to prepare, manage, implement, and achieve State business plans, strategies, and goals.
  • Meet and exceed service standards agreed in client's service agreements.
  • Maximise team and account profitability through efficient and effective work practices, adequate client billing, and sensible expense control.
  • Provide clear and accurate delegation of key tasks to junior broking staff and supporting operations teams.
  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue, expense, and trading profit budgets.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with decision makers within your portfolio of clients.

Requirements

  • Significant experience managing a portfolio of mid-large Corporate clients, creating and converting new business and growth opportunities.
  • Extensive technical skills on key General Insurance classes, including Industrial Special Risks, General Liability, Motor Fleet, Marine, and Accident & Health lines.
  • Strong business acumen, including a well-rounded knowledge of general business functions, including finance, management, and risk.
  • Excellent working relationships with insurers and underwriting partners.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing/selling, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of client organisations, including the 'C' Suite, as well as internal Marsh stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills in prioritising work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines.
