Key Responsibilities- Deliver Wellness and Lifestyle Services: Develop and implement wellness and lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, promoting their physical, social, and emotional well-being.
- Empower Residents: Work closely with residents to understand their goals and aspirations, and provide personalized support to help them achieve their desired outcomes.
- Develop Strategies and Processes: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement strategies and processes that enable residents to take informed risks and live the life they choose.
- Contribute to Early Intervention Programs: Work with our team to develop and implement early intervention programs that address lifestyle and wellness decline, promoting early detection and prevention of health issues.
- Listen to Residents: Regularly engage with residents to ensure they are satisfied with the wellness services and support available to them, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Equivalent: Hold a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification, demonstrating your expertise in delivering wellness and lifestyle services.
- Experience in Aged Care: Have previous experience working in an aged care environment or a passion for working with older people, with excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Possess sound problem-solving skills, particularly when assessing and balancing residents' desire for independence and self-determination against potential risks and duty of care.
- Understanding of Dementia Care: Have a good understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviors.
- Computer Skills: Be proficient in using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) and various in-house databases.
