About Us
The Sydney Opera House is a globally recognised icon synonymous with inspiration and imagination. It's one of the world's busiest performing arts centres, the nation's premier tourism destination and a World Heritage masterpiece that belongs to the people of NSW.
We're a team of passionate and dedicated people who drive this incredible place forward. Our organisation values diversity of thought and experience, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
Our Ambition
To achieve our mission, we're focused on four key areas: creating an inclusive environment, connecting with our community, staying ahead of the curve, and driving positive change.
- We strive to make everyone feel welcome and valued.
- We aim to deepen our understanding of and connection with the community.
- We continually seek to improve our agility and responsiveness.
- We aspire to lead and inspire positive transformation.
Your New Role
We're seeking a coordinator to join our Organisational Development and Learning team. If you're highly organised, an effective communicator, enjoy variety, happy to pitch in, and passionate about helping others grow, we want to hear from you.
This hands-on role reports to the Manager, Organisation Development & Learning and supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of learning programs across the organisation. You will help ensure our learning experiences are seamless, from booking/settting up training rooms, managing participant invites, to making sure our learners feel supported and welcomed.
You'll also be a trusted member of a great team, ready to jump in and help wherever needed and keeping everything on track behind the scenes. You'll also get to lead some of your own projects throughout the year, with plenty of support from our friendly and experienced team.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with exceptional organisational and time management skills, and who is comfortable adapting to changing situations. You should care about people and want to help create positive, inclusive learning experiences. You'll need to be able to solve problems and take initiative to make things better.
Other key requirements include:
- A true team player who is happy to help out and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
- Able to manage data such as training records with strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Experience working with learning platforms or a willingness to learn.
What We Offer
We offer a range of benefits including:
- 10% off onsite food and beverage outlets.
- Access to professional development programs and staff engagement initiatives.
- Staff community groups such as SOH Pride and Sustainable Environmental Action Leaders (SEALs).
- Fitness Passport and complimentary wellbeing programs.
- Complimentary tickets to shows.
