Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Defence Operations Manager to lead our technical team in a senior leadership position. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation and delivery of maintenance services.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills. You will be responsible for leading a team of managers who will report directly to you, and ensuring that all maintenance work is completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical team in the planning, preparation and delivery of maintenance services
  • Oversee the completion of maintenance work task orders
  • Conduct efficiency analysis and implementation reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Object Quality Evidence (OQE) requirements
  • Manage members required in uniform
  • Maintain the Technical Data and Software Rights Schedule
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience within Defence, with at least 5 years in a similar role
  • Experience as a Maintenance Support Manager in an Australian Defence environment
  • An active Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance
  • A Diploma level or higher in Project Management, Maintenance Management or Engineering
  • Experience with MS Project and Jira
