Role Overview

As a professional in the field of early intervention and casework, you will provide comprehensive support to women and children experiencing complex challenges. This role requires a high level of empathy and understanding, as well as strong case management skills.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized case plans, providing outreach and advocacy support where required. Building strong relationships with community networks and service providers is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management and advocacy services to women and children in vulnerable situations.
  • Develop client-led case plans using trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches.
  • Engage in outreach service delivery and accompany clients to appointments as needed.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with community networks and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to organizational events, workshops, and community programs.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of complex issues impacting families and communities. A commitment to strengths-based, feminist, trauma-informed, and culturally safe practice is essential.

Desirable qualifications include experience in domestic and family violence/homelessness contexts, as well as knowledge of child protection, trauma, mental health, AOD, and legal issues affecting families.

You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Community Services, Social Work, or Psychology, and hold current certifications including a NSW Driver's Licence, National Police Check, Working With Children Check, and First Aid certificate.
