Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Officer to join our team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing invoices, processing payments, and supporting reconciliations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established engineering and construction business. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage end-to-end accounts payable transactions, including coding, reconciling, and making payments
  • Support the month-end close and reporting requirements, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve payment queries, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining strong relationships
  • Collaborate with a large national AP team to maintain efficiency and accuracy, sharing best practices and expertise
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, adhering to industry standards and regulations
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume, end-to-end accounts payable positions, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency
  • Proficiency in D365 (Microsoft Dynamics 365), with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Strong organizational skills, with a proactive and team-focused mindset, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-centric approach
