Accounts Payable Officer: Springvale Opportunity

About the Role:
The initial 3-month contract role has the potential for extension or permanent placement. The successful candidate will be based 5 days a week at the company's Springvale office, working within the sports apparel division. As an Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for:
- Receiving and verifying invoices, processing payments accurately.
- Managing vendor relationships and resolving discrepancies.
- Recording transactions and performing AP reconciliations.
- Generating and issuing invoices promptly, monitoring collections.
- Responding to customer inquiries and managing credit limits.
- Allocating payments accurately and reconciling AR ledger.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Utilising accounting software for data entry and reporting.
About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled candidate with 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable functions. You should have a strong understanding of accounting procedures and possess:
- A high level of attention to detail with proven quality and accuracy of work.
- Strong reconciliation skills.
- Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- True team player.
- Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
What We Offer:
