Enterprise Architecture Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in defining enterprise architecture standards, designing fit-for-purpose solutions, and ensuring alignment between technology and business objectives.

Job Overview

This Enterprise Architect position requires an expert to support two major, concurrent transformation programs within a government-focused organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design solution approaches aligned to future-state business needs across both programs.
  • Develop an operational understanding of existing IT infrastructure, program design standards, and work packages.
  • Partner with CIO Divisions, program leads, and business stakeholders to ensure enterprise architecture is fit-for-purpose.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions for complex business requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology adoption or integration.
  • Apply IT governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to guide delivery.
  • Provide architectural input into business cases, delivery planning, and decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise architecture in complex ICT environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile project delivery and demonstrated ability to support IT change in an Agile setting.
  • Experience working with Program Managers, Product Owners, and SMEs to balance competing requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and key decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and structures.
  • Strong background in defining and delivering solutions that align with organisational and environmental constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience producing innovative enterprise architecture for both current and future state.
  • Ability to translate between business and technical terminology with clarity and impact.
Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate must hold an active Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
