Sustainability Leader

Lester Blades is proud to support a non-profit urban oasis in the pursuit of sustainability and community connection. For over 30 years, this organisation has inspired people to live more sustainably through education, events, and hands-on experiences.
This is an opportunity to lead the organisation into an exciting new chapter as a passionate and value-driven Chief Sustainability Officer. Reporting to a supportive Board of Directors, you will guide a small, dedicated team to deliver on the vision.
About the Role- Purpose: To spearhead the organisation's commitment to sustainability and community development.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead sustainable initiatives and practices across the organisation.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organisational change.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, donors, and community groups.
- Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in business or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of success in sustainability leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible working arrangement: preferred 4 days per week (0.8 FTE), will consider full-time on a case-by-case basis.
