Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Regional Director Environmental in Perth, Australia.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of environmental stewardship across our Australian operations, leveraging our world-class forest research centre and contributing to groundbreaking biodiversity initiatives.

This role is ideal for a seasoned executive passionate about sustainability, innovation, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and lead the environmental strategy for our Australian operations, aligning with global sustainability goals and corporate values.
  • Champion biodiversity innovation, collaborating with our forest research centre to develop and implement pioneering environmental solutions.
  • Provide expert regulatory guidance across all Australian sites, ensuring compliance with State Agreements and other relevant legislation.
  • Partner with regional and site leadership to support growth and expansion initiatives, ensuring environmental integrity is maintained.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address regulatory changes, compliance trends, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of environmental professionals, fostering talent development and building a high-performing, future-ready team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive executive-level experience in environmental leadership, ideally within mining, metals, or heavy industry, with a track record of regional or global impact.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Deep understanding of Western Australian environmental legislation, including State Agreements and licensing processes.
  • Expertise in multiple environmental media and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
