Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to fill the role of Risk and Compliance Paralegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing information barriers, liaising with Partners, lawyers, and our IT team to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing and managing information barriers on Maddocks' centralised platform (Intapp Walls)
  • Liaising with Partners, lawyers, and IT team members regarding information barrier implementation
  • Participating in ongoing training sessions with platform developers and IT staff to provide valuable feedback on processes
  • Understanding conflict rules as outlined in the Solicitors' Conduct Rules
  • Assisting with streamlining internal information barrier processes
  • Reviewing and actioning information barrier requests
  • Responding to questions from within the firm about information barriers
  • Promoting awareness of information barriers among Partners and lawyers
  • Providing general support to the General Counsel team on ad hoc risk and compliance-related tasks
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a similar paralegal/administrative role within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Interest or knowledge in legal compliance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Competence in using IT software
  • Strong attention to detail
