About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our team of paralegals in providing high-quality legal support services. As the inaugural Paralegal Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing the team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of paralegals, allocate workloads, and supervise the quality of their work.
  • Act as an intermediary between the paralegal team and the broader branch, fostering effective communication and workflow coordination.
  • Contribute to the operational success of the Branch by leading the paralegal team in implementing new processes and delivering best practice training.
  • Collaborate closely with solicitors and legal assistants to ensure seamless communication and workflow co-ordination.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in supervising and leading a high-performing legal support team.
  • Strong legal support expertise, including advanced technical and legal document management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of eDiscovery, court processes, legal research, and writing.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements.
  • High levels of discretion, judgement, and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
