Palliative Care Specialist Nurse Unit Manager Role

Leading a team of dedicated healthcare professionals is a challenging yet rewarding experience. We are seeking a skilled and experienced nurse to fill the position of Palliative Care Specialist Nurse Unit Manager.

  • Deliver operational management and expert nursing leadership at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.
  • Lead specialist professional nursing practice within the specialist community palliative care team, coordinating the provision of contemporary, person-centred care across the districts of Sunshine Coast and Gympie.
  • Ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces by adhering to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies, and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Applying professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing and midwifery and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

  3. Fulfilling the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Public Service values.
