About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Insights Manager to join our team at Macquarie Park. As a key member of our Food Merchandise team, you will be responsible for providing high-impact, strategic insights to support sustainable and profitable growth of market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with HOT and Category Managers to drive sustainable and profitable category growth, leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop strategic category plans that align with current and future growth opportunities for IGA, ensuring they contribute to sustainable and profitable sales.
  • Contribute insights to shape the long-term growth strategy of the Food Pillar.
  • Establish and maintain a robust category management framework, ensuring consistent implementation across Category PODs.
  • Drive the adoption of shopper-led category management principles throughout the organization, ensuring decision-making is informed by relevant insights.
  • Lead the category and shopper insight team to deliver impactful recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Manage the relationship with scan data agencies, leveraging market/category and shopper insights to drive strategic decision-making through collaborative partnerships with data agencies.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in FMCG.
  • Bachelor degree in Business/Marketing or similarly related field.
  • Proven success in a Senior Category and Shopper Insights roles with people responsibilities.
  • High level of commercial acumen and advanced analytic thinking with an aptitude for problem-solving and developing proactive actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills that build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging with all levels, including senior management.
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to collect and interpret data, identify insights, and develop growth strategies with an understanding of Category Management and Retail Landscape.
  • Proficient at using scan and panel data from Nielsen, Circana, and loyalty data.
