Master Ship Maintenance Manager

The Chief Engineer oversees the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's machinery and electrical equipment. This position is responsible for supervising a team of engineers and adhering to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the integrity of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard
- Supervising engineering officers and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets at all times
- Collaborating with the Chief Officer in cargo operations
- Monitoring fuel consumption, lubricating oils, and sludge transfers for efficiency and environmental impact
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Completed education as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer class 1
- At least 12 months' sea time as a First Engineer
- Certificate of Safety Training (STCW III/2) and other desired certifications
- A Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Australian citizenship or unlimited working rights
- Lived in Australia
- Be comfortable wearing a respirator
