We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master to join our crew. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that operates a fleet of specialized vessels.
About the position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. They will also be responsible for allocating tasks to crew members and making decisions on ship safety, crew safety, passengers, and pollution prevention.
Key responsibilities include implementing company policies on safety, security, operation, and environmental protection, ensuring commercial considerations do not compromise safety and environmental protection, and allocating tasks to crew members for safe and efficient ship operation.
Requirements:
- Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Master Certificate of Competency (COC)/Certificate of Recognition (COR) Unlimited
- Education requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71
- Minimum 5 years sea time as a Chief Officer
- STCW regulation II/2
- MSIC Card
- ECDIS and GMDSS
- Certificate of Safety Training
- Australian Citizen or valid working visa without restrictions
- Living in an Australian state
- Pilotage Exemption Certificate for Cape Preston (desirable)
- Ability to wear a respirator on deck
