As a key member of our logistics team, the Logistics Assurance Officer plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy of inventory records within Joint Logistics Unit East (JLU E). Key responsibilities include participating in cyclic stocktake programs, conducting spot checks and progressive stocktaking for Commonwealth managed inventories.

Key Accountabilities
  • Participate in periodic stock audits to ensure the integrity of inventory records.
  • Conduct random checks on warehouse processes, including put aways and issues, to guarantee high reliability in inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve any discrepancies or inaccuracies in inventory records.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities. They will also be proficient in operating relevant software systems and have experience in logistics assurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of logistics principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
