People and Culture Specialist

The APS 5 People and Culture Advisor will be an experienced HR professional with demonstrated Recruitment experience and may have skills in capability and development or HR partnerships.
In this role, you will work within a collaborative small team to provide partnerships with all areas of the Agency in the HR areas of Recruitment and Employee Experience.
You will be an adaptable and solutions-based thinker who can deliver recruitment, mobility, and onboarding solutions in a dynamic and innovative work environment.
At times, you will assist with the development and provision of high-quality, business-focused, aligned Employee Experience and capability and development initiatives.
Working in a closely with the manager of Recruitment and Employee experience, under limited direction, your duties will include:
- Facilitating End-to-End Recruitment: Hiring of qualified candidates, managing merit pools, and assisting with onboarding processes for new hires.
- Partnering with Clients: Developing recruitment strategies and innovative selection methods.
- Assisting with Recruitment Reporting: Providing accurate and timely data to stakeholders.
- Supporting System Enhancements: Assisting with developing and implementing automated HR processes and functions.
- Maintaining Legislative Knowledge: Understanding relevant legislation and policy frameworks and procedures.
- Providing Accurate Advice: Consistent with HR policies and processes, to stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience delivering recruitment in a government context, and the ability to quickly learn legislative requirements that govern recruitment and processes.
The ideal candidate would also have:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills: Providing sound advice and guidance regarding recruitment activities and working within the APS and the Agency's legislative and policy frameworks.

- Strong Attention to Detail: Managing competing priorities and tasks.
- Demonstrated Integrity: Working as an effective team member who can be agile and innovative.
- Strong Judgement and Decision-Making: Providing quality advice and service to clients.
